Teri has been a certified QuickBooks Pro Specialist since 2005, but what separates her from the pack is her own background as a small business owner. She has been self-employed most of her adult life, and has worn many hats. From workers comp to credit lines; from insurance to sales tax to depreciation, Teri has more than just book knowledge. She's been through it herself. She can help you to navigate all the little bumps that come with owning your own business. Teri often tells people: "Being self-employed, you only have to work half days." But you get to pick which "twelve" to "fifteen" hours you want to work each day. She knows that owning a business is not as romantic as people would expect. It is hard work! But the benefits that come from owning your own life and the potential for growth are well worth it for those who, like Teri, have that American entreprenurial spirit. Teri's mother sat her in front of her first ledger at the age of fifteen. She's been using QuickBooks since the early '90s, and has been a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor since 2005. During the last six years, Teri has done extensive consulting work, and has advised many business owners. Her experience is priceless! Teri has traveled and lived all over the United States, but - true country girl at heart - she always comes home to Texas. She lives in Conroe, Texas with her son; her daughter and parents just a stone's throw away in Austin. When Teri does have free time, she enjoys spending it with her family, being out on the water, and getting her fingernails dirty out in the garden. |
Marcia has always been fascinated by numbers, beginning with her school days when she was a whiz at math. She has worked in bookkeeping in one form or another for most of her life. ("And that's a long time!" she jokes.) When Marcia first began in bookkeeping, computers were a pencil with a good, sturdy eraser and a sheet of paper. She likes to say they had traded in the abacus for a calculator by that point. Marcia has kept current with the exciting technological advancements over the years, giving her real-world experience and enabling her to offer customized solutions to her clients from a greater depth of understanding. Because of Marcia's keen understanding of bookkkeeping, including the manual system, she can successfully train any bookkeeper on how to apply his or her existing knowledge to Quickbooks. Her patience, sense of humor, and pleasant demeanor combine to make Marcia a great teacher. Marcia has also lived all over the United States. She is currently settled in Cedar Park with her husband of forty-six years, just a half mile from daughter and business parner Teri. She enjoys baking, jigsaw puzzles, holiday dinners, a nice warm fireplace on a cold Texas night. |
